Our Single Point Aerial Fabric Kit offers between 5 to 10 yards of soft, durable, low-stretch tricot fabric with a shine, perfect for aerial silks, yoga, and fitness. The kit arrives unassembled and includes two 13-inch runners, three carabiners, one swivel, and a personal anchor system (PAS). Ceiling attachment not included.

Single point hammocks are mounted from a single attachment point (ceiling attachment not included). These hammocks are intended to spin and come with a swivel! Typically, folks use this product for aerial dance and trick-based skills more than aerial yoga applications. Please note fabric stretch is subjective—watch our video for a comparison of stretch levels.

Measure the Rigging Height: Begin by measuring the height from the ground to the rigging point. For high ceilings, we recommend using a laser measure for precision.
Account for Hammock Height: Determine how high you want the hammock to be off the ground, typically for aerial yoga around hip height (about 3 feet). Subtract this height from the ceiling height. For example, if your ceiling is 12 feet high and you want the hammock 3 feet off the ground, your working height will be 9 feet.
Calculate Fabric Length: Multiply this working height by 2 to account for both “sides” of the hammock.
Add Rig Tie Length: Depending on your rigging method, add the appropriate fabric length. If you are rigging with runners or multiple links, add 1.5 feet per side (3 feet total).
**If you are rigging with a rescue 8 setup, add an additional 9 feet of fabric, as this tie requires more material.
We have a variety of aerial hammocks to suit every need! The main difference in which hammock you select will depend on if you want your hammock to spin freely or not.
Typically, if you are doing aerial yoga you do not want your hammock to spin. In this case, select a double point hammock. This means that the hammock will require 2 attachment points to the ceiling. It also does not include swivels. If you try to spin, the fabric will twist, so it is possible to rotate, but a double point hammock is overall LESS prone to spin. It is more stable for aerial yoga activity. You can select between 2 different double point hammocks. The adjustable double point hammock is ideal for quickly moving your hammock to different heights for poses or students of various heights. It comes with a multiple link for quick adjustment. The other option is the basic hammock, which is not height adjustable but is great for a person piece of equipment where you don’t want to adjust the height often.
Our single point hammocks are made for spinning! They come with a swivel, which is a piece of hardware made specifically for rotation. Single point hammocks are sometimes called slings. You can choose between a single point set up with a rescue 8 or one with runners and a daisy chain. A daisy chain is different from a multiple link in that it is stronger for dynamic aerial dance tricks. The rescue 8 set up is preferred in the aerial dance community for its strength, but it does require significantly more fabric for the tie, which makes it more expensive.

Some medical conditions are not recommended for aerial activities; always check with your doctor before beginning aerial acrobatic activities or any type of exercise program. Never practice aerial arts alone. Always practice under the guidance of a certified aerial instructor, and always ensure your equipment is installed by a professional rigger. All aerial equipment should be inspected before each use for safety. AFA uses a safety factor (also called a design factor) of 6 to 1 for aerial fabric. Based on the minimum breaking strength from destructive testing, we recommend a working load limit of 416 pounds. AFA instructional videos are limited to the assembly of the fabric to the hardware provided. Not every home or studio will be the same, and therefore, AFA cannot advise on any rigging activities. It is essential that anyone using our products be fully aware of prescribed industry methods for assembling rigging apparatus, including, but not limited to all necessary safety procedures and precautions. If you haven’t established a safe rigging point, please do this first with the help of a structural engineer, experienced rigger, or other professional familiar with what you're hanging and where you're hanging it.

We ship internationally! Please note that the customer pays all international taxes and duties required by your country. These are different for each country and individual products, so we cannot estimate this cost for customers.
For international orders, customs clearance might increase the shipping time. We don’t refund for delays as this is out of our hands. Please know that we are unable to refund for shipping delays, no matter how long the delay is.
